Mishka Summer Preview

The Brooklyn Circus 2011 Summer Varsity Jackets

With a new season comes a new batch of varsity jackets from The Brooklyn Circus. Working with a cotton base, much like last year, the jacket is produced from 100% cotton, featuring butter soft leather details, antique brass snaps, silk lining, the classic BKc “B” stitched in double felt and of course all of them are made in the USA. Three colorways release next week, including a navy, wine and teal, all sporting putty-colored contrast sleeves. A pre-order is now in effect through both BKc stores in San Francisco and Brooklyn.

UNDERCOVER Stud Backpack

Unlike some of UNDERCOVER’s more innovative accessories in past seasons, this Stud Backpack is simple yet effective in its execution. Taking on a time-tested aesthetic of black leather and studs, the pack is thoroughly studded on a shiny leather material. Two large 3D pockets occupy the front of the bag.

Air Jordan 2.0 White/Black-Varsity Red

Jordan Brand officially unveils its Air Jordan 2.0, a contemporary take on iconic Air Jordan II. Equipped with a full-length Air Max frame, the shoes take on the classic white/black/varsity red color scheme with a red air unit replacing the shoe’s traditionally thick black midsole. Priced at $160 USD, these look to go on sale June 4, 2011

Supra Skytop III

Supra’s flagship model enters its third iteration with the following silhouette slated for a mid-summer release. Featuring a more mature and grown-up approach relative to its predecessors but also incorporating a distinct technical vibe thanks largely to a rubber cage around the midfoot. Several classic colorways are slated for an initial drop including red, white, black and blue

Palladium “Chicago Red” Baggy Boot

Coinciding with the announcement of this year’s NBA MVP Derrick Rose, Palladium introduces a limited colorway in their signature Baggy boot, featuring a red upper with black accents and outsoles. nanamica x ellesse 2011 Summer Collection

Japanese brand/retailer nanamica comes together with storied Italian sportswear brand ellesse on a new capsule collection. Focused on the use of terry cloth, the outcome results in a series of matching striped garments, including shorts and matching blazers, both in two color options each. Complimenting those is a set of polo shirts, T-shirts and sleeveless shirts, all bearing the brand’s iconic logo which resembles a half tennis ball with the shape of the tips of a pair of skis. Look for the lineup through nanamica as part of its Summer 2011 range.

adidas Originals “Iconics Color” Stan Smith 80s

The adidas Stan Smith was released one year before its actual release date in 1965, under the name of the French tennis player Robert Haillet. After replacing Haillet for American tennis pro Stan Smith, the shoe developed into one of the most iconic adidas silhouettes ever. The sneaker’s natural progression has led to several different variations, with the Stan Smith 80s being the latest. Although still quite simple in its design approach, this new edition of the Stan Smith 80s highlights the usually risky approach from adidas Originals, sporting an iridescent colorway that shifts as you move. Surely the design isn’t for everyone, but it’s always refreshing to see adidas continuously take chances.
