A Bathing Ape x Casio G-Shock DW-5600


The newest watch in the long-running collaboration between A Bathing Ape and Casio is this limited edition G-Shock DW-5600. A black base is complimented by BAPE’s now famous red ape head camo on the face. Shock-resistant and water-resistant to 200 meters, this watch combines the rugged sturdiness you can expect from a G-Shock with the unique stylings of BAPE. The BAPE G-Shock color camo DW-5600 is only available through the special order section of the A Bathing Ape Summer Collection Mook and has a set retail of ¥21,000 (approximately $250 USD).

Brooklyn Projects x Nike SB Dunk High Teaser Video



Brooklyn Projects teases with this new short video previewing the shop’s upcoming effort alongside Nike SB. Working on the always popular Dunk High, BP developed a brown/black colorway with red accents and various material options on the uppers. A release date hasn’t been announced but stay tuned for further information in the coming days.

Kanye West x M/M (Paris) Silk Scarves





NOWNESS fills us in on a collaboration between Kanye West and Parisian design firm M/M (Paris). Together they developed a series of silk scarves featuring artwork from Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, as Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag created an illustrative letterset for the album’s liner notes as a complement to its cover art series of paintings by American artist George Condo. Only 250 scarves were produced for the project, 50 in each design. They will be made available through colette and MMparis.com soon. Stay tuned for further information in the coming days.

XLARGE x Vans 20th Anniversary Era




To help celebrate their 20th anniversary, Tokyo-based streetwear brand XLARGE have collaborated with Vans to create this rather colorful shoe. Using the Vans Era model as a base, XLARGE have taken bright yellows, purples, pinks and blues and have created a paint splattered effect all over the upper. A New Era fitted and T-shirt featuring the same design will also be releasing. Retail for the shoes has been set at ¥10,290, with the fitted costing ¥7,140 and the T-shirt at ¥5,250. All these new 20th anniversary items will be available at all XLARGE stores and retailers next month.

Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Reissue LX (Perf)



A new pack from Vans Vault this season features the all too familiar Sk8-Hi model. Denoted as the Reissue LX (Perf), three styles each share a similar aesthetic as it combines a tonal upper with dark vulcanized bands on the sole for contrast. The colors include Black/Black, Madder Brown/Gum and Wild Dove/Black. The leather is perforated for a more breathable design, perfect for the spring and summer.

Porter Classic 2011 Spring/Summer Denim Collection



Porter Classic present a special capsule of goods as they continually expand their apparel offerings. Vintage materials produced by iconic American manufacturer Amoskeag Manufacturing Company can be seen through vests, bottoms and jackets with an undoubtedly vintage vision at the heart of each piece. At one point in time, Amoskeag Manufacturing Company held the title as the world’s largest cotton manufacturer before an inability to progress with the times led to its ultimate downfall.

Supreme x Vans Chukka ’95


More from the on-going collaboration between Supreme and Vans. Once again the chukka model has been used with the upper being made of canvas except for a leather heel guard. Each shoe will be released in solid colorways including red, light blue, navy, yellow and black with a black and white checkerboard tab on the heel and gracing the inner sole. Look out for these shoes to release in May. Japanese retail has been set at ¥11,550 JPY (approximately $139 USD).

Fullspot O Clock Camouflage Series





Following up on the success of its first season, Milanese watch manufacturer Fullspot is releasing a new version of the O Clock model. Made from a silicone that’s both hypoallergenic and water resistant, this series features a green and beige camouflage motif on the face of the clock. Available in ice, dove and olive colorways, the watches can be purchased soon through select stockists worldwide.

LaQuan Smith’s LQS “Hard Candy” Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Designer Laquan Smith sent over images from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection for his lower priced line, LQS.

Titled ‘Hard Candy,’ each piece has delectable names like Mimosa, Pralines & Cream, Toasted Almond, and Toffee.

Comprised primarily of yummy colors like bubblegum pink, peach tart, tangerine, and sour apple green, the collection features catsuits, skirt suits, and mini dresses earmarked for the saucy, contemporary set.

Nicki Minaj at the 2011 Green Auction: A Bid To Save The Earth



Nicki Minaj was a surprise performer at last night’s the Green Auction, a fashion show highlighting looks from Jason Wu, Diane von Furstenberg, and more, with the ultimate goal of auctioning the items and giving the proceeds to an earth conscious charity. For the ‘green’ red carpet, Nicki chose a very apropos green ‘Bride of Frankenstein’ wig, played down in a leather jumpsuit and black booties.
