At this year’s London College of Fashion MA showcase, Chinese designer Yan Liang unveiled a memorable collection titled “Mixture.” Inspired by the use of wood and its ability to be utilized in unforeseen settings, much of her collection over both apparel and accessories incorporates some element of wood. Whether it be shirts with wooden pockets, wooden bow ties or paneled jackets, the inclusion of wood is ultimately well positioned and natural in its appearance.
